Case Study : Teeing Up

The Brief

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Government’s tiered restriction system. Northamptonshire County Golf Club required a marquee space to allow club members and guests to enjoy safe open-air dining and drinking whilst observing strict social and physical distancing measures.

The Challenges

•        Design and build marquee solutions swiftly in response to COVID-19-related policy changes announced by the Government

•        Ensure the marquee is safe and suitable for use by club members during the COVID-19 pandemic

•        Create an aesthetically pleasing dining space in keeping with club standards and ethos

•        Ensure the marquee is suitable for informal dining evenings as well as pre and post-golf dining

•        Situate the marquee neatly within the available terrace space outside the existing clubhouse, neatly complementing borders  and landscape features alongside the marquee

The Solution

Following the initial consultation and having listened carefully to the needs of the Northamptonshire County Golf club, Zest Marquees designed and provided a 6m x 12m marquee on a long-term hire basis.

•        Rapid response: Time from initial consultation to use by golf club members – 1 week

•        Fully opening side walls to allow for enhanced air circulation during usage

•        Incorporating garden and terrace features to create an enjoyable environment for members

•        Clear window wall panels on 2 sides to allow views of the course

•        Water-based weights (to anchor marquee on new terrace area)
