The notion that marquees are exclusively suited for summer is a common misconception; in reality, this couldn't be further from the facts. While it's true that they are technically outdoors, we have some excellent strategies to keep your winter event warm and inviting, ensuring guests remain comfortable and free from the chill.

Colours

Incorporate warm hues to create a cosy atmosphere. While these colours won’t impact the actual temperature, they will certainly enhance the mood of your guests. It’s often said that mindset is key! Last New Year’s Eve, we adorned a wedding marquee with rich burgundy, and the deep, warm tones effectively distracted from the frigid conditions outside.

Heaters

Just as you would heat any indoor venue, be sure to rent a few heaters and strategically place them around the marquee to circulate warm air throughout the event space. Don’t forget to set one up at the entrance so that guests are welcomed with a comforting rush of warmth, encouraging them to remove their coats promptly upon arrival.

Lighting
